When I was contacted to review and giveaway software for scrapbooking I jumped at the chance. I have been telling the hubs that I want to make a digital scrapbook for Aubrey for her first year and every year after that for at least six months now but I hadn't gotten around to it. Now that I have this easy to use software I'm going to be right on top of it.
The program I am reviewing is from My Memories. They are a company that offers digital scrapbook software, tons of add on kits, an online photo book creator, software tutorials and so much more. The program that I will be giving away is the
My Memories Suite.
I found the software very easy to use. It was a little overwhelming at first because their are so many options but once I got the hang of it that was more of an advantage than a disadvantage. I personally like to use the design your own option rather than the templates. I prefer this because I like every page to be different. Keep in mind that I am thinking about Aubrey's first year book. If I were doing one for a family vacation or a specific event I would be more likely to use the templates. There are plenty of options including paper and pattern backgrounds, embellishments and text options. One thing that I love about the text is that you can use whatever fonts you have loaded on your computer. I've downloaded tons of fonts in the past so I was excited that I could see them in this program.
Another thing that I loved about this software is that allows you to digitally share your albums for free. This will come in handy when I complete a book and I want to share it with family members. Then they can decide if they would like a hard copy printed or not. You can also turn your scrapbook into a movie to view on dvd, ipod or other digital devices. All those are great but my favorite option is that with one click you can turn your album into a professionally printed and hardbound book right from My Memories which I will definitely be doing.
I like to keep it pretty simple and let the pictures and words speak for themselves but there are a bunch of papers and embellishments if you'd like your album a bit more flashy. Want to see that being of Aub's book? Here you go:
